Medium gold with hints of copper. Broad shouldered, musky, leesy aromas of buttered apple and pear, with touches of caramel and toffee. Very rich and full, showing a depth and richness akin to an aged white Burgundy, with a chewy texture and powerful, ripe orchard (candied apple and smoked pear) together with pit fruit flavours.
Steve Tanzer - International Wine Cellar 30-11-07
Yellow-gold color. Nutty peach and poached pear aromas are complicated by floral honey, toasted grain and chamomile. Highly complex on the palate, showing a deep, lightly roasted personality and flavors of sweet pit fruits, toasted nut and honeycomb. Finishes with brown butter and toffeed apple notes and excellent persistence. This really demands food.
Wine Spectator : 91/100
A full, creamy, mouth filling Champagne boasting flavours of baking bread, honey, vanilla pastry and hazelnut. There's enough acidity to keep it all balanced and focused through the long finish.
