Unfortunately so many Gavi’s are nothing more than winemaking afterthoughts - sterile and totally innocuous. How much fun it is to find an attractive Gavi from the very first vintage of the wine by this producer and what a great vintage 2006 was too, made from 100% Cortese and completely vinified in stainless steel. This offering is a delicious, richly fruity with that telltale nettle leaf notes, a soft wine bursting with personality and soul. However it is not meant to age, so consume it over the next two years after production.
