The 2003 Cipresso is a deeply intriguing wine. It remains quite a bit fresher than the other 2003 wines from Terrabianca because the fruit was picked earlier. Everything speaks to harmony. Expressive aromatics meld into racy, vibrant red cherries, tobacco and liquorice with a touch of incense, all supported by big yet refined tannin. The warmth of the year is very nicely balanced by the fresh acidity. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020. Tasted March 2006

This stylish, finessed Sangiovese should offer highly enjoyable drinking for another decade. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2017.
