PV Tasting Notes
The 6 Puttonyos is terrific, beautifully floral, with obvious dried apricot, honey, peach, orange peel, and backed by elegant mineral. With a whopping 181 grams of sugars the acidity is still bracing, and deftly brings the whole together. This is decadently sweet wine but doesn’t tire the palate; the fruit, sugars and acidity present themselves within the harmonious frame. This can be enjoyed now and over the next 50 or so years. Tasted June 2010.

The obvious choice would be Foie Gras, but for desserts, try it with Almond cake with mango sorbet, blueberry compote with buttermilk ice cream, caramel apple slices, citrus marmalade tart, fresh date tart, grilled pineapple, honey with poached figs with minted mascarpone, any type of panna cotta, or Pavlova.
The botrytised berries were picked hand by hand and placed into small crates in November; crushed, then soft pressed. The maceration lasted for 24 hours at a constant, electronically-controlled temperature in steel tank. The juice was fermented for 20 days in steel at a controlled temperature. Aged in oak barrels so called Szerednyei ( 220l ) for 4 years then min.6 months in the bottle.
