PV Tasting Notes
The Giusto di Notri is deep ruby colour, with fabulous aromatics, violets, white flowers, ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit that would fill a room. When it hits the mouth, the high notes continue followed on by mineral and fresh herb, then the base tones start, asphalt, coffee and liquorices, this wine delivers a superb palate presence, wonderful acidity, beautifully balanced and a long, long finish which is totally absorbing. This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot with supreme balance and super elegance and the grace of a ballerina tiptoeing across your tongue. My impression is that this may be ready to drink immediately following its release but will continue to improve for several years and drink well for a couple of decades. Tasted June 2009. 95+ points

Fabulous aromas of currant and blackberry, with hints of mint and sandalwood. Full-bodied, with ultrasilky tannins and a long, beautiful finish. All in balance. This has wonderful harmony. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2011.

The 2007 Giusto dei Notri is a gorgeous, dark beauty endowed with layers of sensual black and blue fruits. Soft, seamless and utterly enveloping, the 2007 Giusto dei Notri impresses for its depth and richness, both of which have been achieved without any excess heaviness. Today the oak is rather pronounced and the wine needs further time in bottle for its full range of aromas and flavors to emerge, but make no mistake about, this is a terrific and highly enjoyable wine. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.
Serve this top Tuscan wine with antipasto, barbecues, beef stroganoff, wind-dried beef, stuffed cabbage, roast guinea fowl, pigeon, rabbit, risotto, shepherds pie, strong meats, game and strong flavoured pasta dishes.
Tua Rita has long been regarded as one of the very best wine estates in Tuscany and recently rated as one of the top 100 wineries of the World by Robert Parker, in his latest book "The World's Greatest Wine Estates". The winery was established in 1984 but they did not release any wine for sale until 1992. Annual production is very small, only 40,000 bottles across their range of five wines from the 22 hectare farm. The awards given to Tua Rita’s wines is testament to their stoic workmanship and brilliant talents with no less than 21 ratings of 95 points up to and including 100 points over the past decade from their top three wines.
