The 2007 Eclix Sangiovese is very tasty, offering plenty of character compared to most wines in its price range. Light to medium-bodied, there is excellent clarity in the glass, pretty strawberry and sweet black cherry fruit aromas, cherry fruit dominates the palate, with higher acidity and powdery tannins, very well made and it over delivers on price.

The Silterra range of wines, stems from the Genagricola company, the World’s largest Insurance Company, some 20 years ago they diversified into wine production and have build a superb group of top quality estates, the Jewel in the Crown being the North Eastern, Torre Rosazza Estate, now regarded as one of the top two Italian Whites producers. Recently they have launched this new label, of reasonably high quality wines to compete with wines sold in the supermarket chains, and the produces for the most part soar above the industrial wines found at similar prices from these chains.
