PV Tasting Notes

Medium to bright ruby in colour, very ripe and fresh up front, pungent aromas of black cherry with minty smoky tones, lifted by a note of orange zest. Pliant, fairly spicy and complex; with a lighter feel to the spicy red berry and zesty flavours. Has a youthfull, slightly restrained firmly tannic finish, which displays good length. This is again, very good Pinot Noir value which should develop well over the next 7-10 years. Tasted September 2010

Independent Review

Generous, with gobs of black cherry, currant, dried raspberry and plum notes, accented with sage, cedar and mineral flavors. A firm structure and thick tannins provide some appealing traction. Drink now through 2017.  –MW

89 Points Steve Tanzer International Wine Cellar Oct 2011
Fresh, nuanced aromas of black cherry, menthol and smoke, lifted by a note of orange peel. Sweet, spicy and fairly deep, with a refreshing character to the spicy red berry and orange peel flavors. The firmly tannic finish features good grip and length. A very good pinot value.

This outstanding Pinot Noir wine is at its best with any game bird, turkey, pheasant, partridge, grouse or woodcock, even osso buco alternatively roasted Chicken or chicken as in coq au vin or better still capon.
