PV Tasting Notes
This has to be one of the best value top flight sleepers of the Bordeaux 2005 vintage, Michel Rolland has created a super value wine here, yet again. The aromatics are deep, with superb ripe fruit, on the palate, this is medium bodied, with boatloads of glycerine, super fine tannins and only 13% alcohol. Enjoy this Grand Cru Classe quality-wine over the next decade for a third of the price of its higher ranked counterparts. Tasted April 2008.

Another sensational bargain, this unfined/unfiltered blend of 80% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc exhibits a deep ruby color along with a big, sweet nose of sandy, loamy soil, spice wood, damp earth, and copious quantities of cherries and currants. Hedonistic, lush, elegant, and pure, it can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years.
This lovely Merlot dominated blend is perfect for Fillet of Beef Marchand de Vin (with wine and bone marrow) Roast Fillet of Beef but avoiding Beef Wellington, pastry dulls the palate. Roast lamb and Venison.
