Tua Rita’s 2007 Rosso dei Notri is simply beautiful in this vintage. It offers up an enticing bouquet, along with an array of sweet herbs, ripe red fruits, spices, tobacco and minerals. This is an especially complex Rosso di Notri that overachieves in 2007 and delivers superb value for the money. If the Rosso is indicative of the estate’s other 2007s Tua Rita fans will have a lot to look forward to when the top wines are released next year. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2013.

Serve this young Tuscan wine with antipasto, barbecues, beef stroganoff, wind-dried beef, stuffed cabbage, roast guinea fowl, pigeon, rabbit, risotto, shepherds pie, strong meats, game and strong flavoured pasta dishes.

Bolgheri, on the Tuscan Coast is the home of one of the World’s finest vineyard sites, Tua Rita makes a 100% Merlot wine here which has quickly become legend, The Redigaffi. Located just outside of the medieval town of Suvereto, this small estate is kept like a pristine garden, every branch and leaf is in place, yields are kept very low, the floors of the cellar are spotless, and everything is in perfect order. The wines being made here are of the highest quality, compared equal to Chateau Petrus by Robert Parker, Tua Rita’s Redigaffi was the First Italian Winery to be awarded the perfect 100 Point score by Mr Parker himself, there is only one other. Whilst the Redigaffi has taken all of the limelight, another wine made at the estate is somewhat underpriced, Giusto di Notri, this often ranks in the top 250 or so wines of the world, a Bordeaux Blend and is equal to a 2eme Grand Cru Classe wine, but sells for considerably less money.
