PV Tasting Notes

Intense aromas of dark cherry, satsuma plum and sweet spice fills the nostril, Complimented by hints of white pepper, cedar and creamy vanilla characters. Luscious, sweet fruits dominate the palate balanced by drying tannins and briary spice. A rich mouth feel with hints of biscuity, French Oak flows into an extremely long finish.
A tiny boutique winery making a total of 500 cases across three wines.

Independent Review

The winery has been rated as Five Stars by James Halliday, and the wine rated 94 points and five glasses, wines produced here are of the highest quality, unusual with a distinguished pedigree and worthy of a place in any cellar.

Classic style and very versatile red will go with virtually any food but best with roast lamb, rack of lamb, cheese soufflé, beefsteak, boiled beef, beef stews, oxtail, kidneys, roast pork and alternatively venison.

Soul Growers stands for all that is Barossa and the inherit values that have been formed by three mates, David Cruickshank (Westy), and the Lindner Brothers, Paul and James, from knowledge shared by the elders of the region and our own instinctive views.

We aim to make wines which emphasize the regional and varietal flavours of our beloved Barossa Valley. We use only traditional winemaking techniques, open fermenting, basket pressing, minimal handling, no fining and no filtration.

The essence of what we strive for is to ensure a life style that is good for the Soul - Wine, Food, Family, Music, Mates and Fun.
