PV Tasting Notes

Intense, lifted aromas of blackberry, mulberry and Satsuma plum meld with hints of cassis, vanilla and chocolate. Rich sweet fruit flows onto the palate balanced with vanillin and cedary French oak and hints of white pepper and briary spice adding complexity. The finish is very long and fruitful with silky tannins to complete the picture.
A tiny boutique winery making a total of 500 cases across three wines.

Independent Review

The winery has been rated as Five Stars by James Halliday, and the wine rated 94 points and five glasses, wines produced here are of the highest quality, unusual with a distinguished pedigree and worthy of a place in any cellar.

This top-flight Australian red is best served with T-bone steak, strong Cheese’s e.g. parmesan, Pasta dishes with strong or piquant sauces, alternatively truffle or porcini fungi sauce, beef stew’s, stroganoff, cassoulet, stuffed cabbage, Chilli, BBQ alternatively duck or kebabs. Possibly venison or hare and will stand up to most curry.

Soul Growers stands for all that is Barossa and the inherit values that have been formed by three mates, David Cruickshank (Westy), and the Lindner Brothers, Paul and James, from knowledge shared by the elders of the region and our own instinctive views.

We aim to make wines which emphasize the regional and varietal flavours of our beloved Barossa Valley. We use only traditional winemaking techniques, open fermenting, basket pressing, minimal handling, no fining and no filtration.

The essence of what we strive for is to ensure a life style that is good for the Soul - Wine, Food, Family, Music, Mates and Fun.
