PV Tasting Notes
The 2006 L’Amarine Rose, medium pink in colour, aromatically displaying some ripe red fruits, the palate offers sweet juicy fruit and a very good mouthfeel, clean and crisp with a nice finish but it needs to be drunk up.
Served at 14°C, it is perfect for summertime meals. It is particularly recommended with a paella made with "Riz de Camargue".
A superb little estate and renowned producers of world class wines that sell for a song. Since 1988, Château de l'Amarine belongs to the Dalle Family, who are already the owners of Château de Campuget. It is situated in Bellegarde, half -way between Nîmes and Arles and only a few kilometres from the right side of the Rhône river. The 30 hectares vineyard is situated on one of the best areas of the A.O.C. Costières de Nîmes. This wine is made by draining off the vat. Colour is obtained through a short maceration of between 4 and 12 hours, according to the sort of grape. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with the temperature controlled at 18°C in order to extract the maximum aromas. After racking and filtration, the wine is immediately bottled at the Château.
