News Flash! A clean sweep of 2008 Red Wine Trophies

For the past couple of years we have been strongly suggesting Woodside Valley Estate could very well become the “Screaming Eagle of Australia”.
A decade ago, Screaming Eagle was retailing for £40 a bottle, now the price is on average between £1,400 and £2,200 per single bottle!
Today we are pleased to announce, on Monday evening I shall be attending the IWSC Gala Dinner at Guildhall to collect the prestigious “Warren Winiarski- Stags Leap” International Red Wine Trophy awarded to the Woodside Baudin Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2008 International Wine and Spirit Competition. The highest accolade awarded in the Cabernet Sauvignon category which, as expected included entries from all over the world. This is the very first time a Western Australia Winery has taken this TOP Trophy.
Woodside Valley Estate; The Baudin Collection… A great Discovery!
Five Stars Awarded from the 2007, 2008 and 2009 from James Halliday - Wine Companion, he writes “Woodside Valley Estate continues to stamp its position as a five star (Outstanding) winery for three consecutive years!” The latest scores show the 2005 Baudin Cabernet Sauvignon collecting 95 points, and is ranked 15th amongst Australia’s other top Cabernet Sauvignons. With the 2005 collecting 96 points and equal first of all Australian Cabernets, and the 2003 collecting 94 points, a truly great winery consistently producing world class products.
Premier Vintners wines have already taken the International Red Wine Trophy from the 2008 Decanter Competition, (the fourth consecutive) and the International Great Value Red Wine Trophy from the 2008 IWC and now it’s a “clean sweep” with this International Trophy from the IWSC, the three biggest International Wine Competitions of the World.
